Let Your Pebble Time Help with the Driving – Using Nav Me

Pebble Time with Michael – Day 2

IMG_1944

My current favorite app for the Pebble Time is Nav Me. I went for a couple hour drive today and found out just how useful it is. In the past when I’ve used the turn-by-turn directions of the Google Maps app on my phone, I’ve always felt like I had to juggle my phone to see upcoming turns. Nav Me syncs with Google Maps and allowed me to just drop my phone into a cup holder in my car and get all my driving directions by just glancing at my watch. The Pebble even buzzes right before turns to get my attention. What a wonderfully handy app!

Alas this is an Android-only application – so if you are using your Pebble Time with an iPhone/iPad/iPod you won’t be able to install it. My deepest regrets to all my Apple-using friends!

The closest iOS application to Nav Me that I have been able to find is MapsGPS for Pebble, which costs $1.99. I haven’t been able to try this app myself and am just going by the developer’s description of it.
