Just a few days ago, I spoke of my then absolute favorite watch face: Straight. I’d always love it and never replace it in my heart as the best Pebble Time watch face ever. Right?

Of course not! Fickle person that I am, I’ve already moved on in my affections to another new watch face: DIN Time. It’s actually surprising to me just how much I like this watch face, because in some ways Straight is better than this watch face. What’s up with that?

Well, it seems inevitable that it will keep happening to me – finding yet another watch face for my Pebble Time and realizing that it has become my new “favorite”. There are just so many wonderful watch faces available from the Pebble App Store. The latest watch face to rocket to favorite status for me is Tally.

Tally is a watch face that mimics a “real” watch very well and is very elegant and visually appealing in its design. Most importantly for a Pebble Time watch face, it is very easy to view in a wide variety of lighting conditions. Its large numbers, hour marks, and hands make is especially visible. It provides me with all of the information I like to have available to me at a single glance. It shows the time, date, current weather conditions, and battery level. It also buzzes whenever the Bluetooth connection with my phone is lost and shows an alert on the screen.

Messaging on the Pebble Time (Hangouts, Yo and Awear)

Messaging on a smartwatch, specifically the Pebble Time, gets old real fast. You can’t really have a keyboard on the Pebble Time (and I really don’t want one), so composing messages on your wrist isn’t really easy…unless one of the three following requirements are fulfilled: 1) you can do it with your voice, 2) there’s only one specific word you’d like to text, 3) you can creat (not just reply!) messaged with predefined contents. I’m using different apps for each one of those scenarios, which sounds way more complicated than it actually is.
