Let Your Pebble Time Serve as a Convenient Timer – with Timer+

Pebble Time with Michael – Day 17

Timer+One simple device I use almost ever day is some kind of timer with an associated alarm. I time my morning walks, I time laundry, I time items we’re cooking, sometimes I even time naps! The Pebble Time Timer+ app provides this function for me in a very convenient manner.

Before I got my Pebble Time I typically used a timer app on my phone to provide this service to me. However, I’m finding that Timer+ works even better than the standard Android timer application and I’m using it almost exclusively now.

First of all, the Timer+ app is quite visually attractive on my Pebble Time. It features quite a bit of animation in its operation and its timing readouts are quite easy to see. It provides both countdown timer functions and count up stop watch functions. The countdown timer buzzes repeatedly when it hits zero. The application itself automatically starts up, if it’s not already the active watch application, five seconds before the timer is to expire.

One thing I really like about the Timer+ timer function is that when you are setting it, the application simultaneously displays both elapsed time and clock time. So it’s just as easy for me to set the timer for 15 minutes as it is for me to set it for 1:25 PM. I regularly use both methods with this application.

The author of the application has made a very nice video available on YouTube of Timer+ in operation, so if you think you might be interested in using it be sure to check it out here. I think you’ll find it as impressive as I have.

  1. I’m using this app for the first time today, and I’m having an issue. The countdown timer ends, but there’s no alarm/vibration, and the chronometer starts up on its own when the countdown reaches zero. Have you encountered this before? Do you know how to fix it?

    • No, I’ve never had that happen to me. You might try powering your Pebble Time off and then on again to see if that doesn’t correct this problem.
